Steve Clifton

Steve and his wife, JoEllen (Josie), have 3 children and 4 grandchildren.  With a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering Technology from his home state at Oklahoma State University, Steve's career was in the electric, oil and gas industry.  He enjoys Bible study and hobby ranching.  In the 8 years at Clifton COC, Steve has enjoyed the willingness of this fellowship family to work collectively for each member's salvation.  His hope is to grow with this church family to a greater understanding of the mission of our King Jesus in bringing forth His Kingdom in the "here and now", and to achieve the peace and unity promised in that mission.

Butch married his high school sweetheart, Georgeanne Colvert.   Both grew up in Clifton, TX.  They have one son Jack, who with his wife Renee have two sons Hutch and Jackson.

Before graduating from Hillcrest Baptist Hospital School of Medical Technology, Butch attended the University of Houston and Baylor University.

After 36 years as a Medical Technologist at Goodall-Witcher Hospital, Butch retired in December 2004.  Now he gets to enjoy  reading, fishing and hunting, however, what he enjoys most is being a spectator in his grandsons' sports activities.

As a member of Clifton Church of Christ for 55 years, what Butch likes the most about it is that the beliefs are based only on the Bible.  Butch would like to be part of spreading God's word in some way, wherever it is needed, and to see all members grow in the likeness of Jesus Christ.

Ronnie Baker

Ronnie Baker has spent 35 of his 61 years with his beautiful wife Susan.  God has blessed them with 3 wonderful children: Lance, Micah and Kelsy.  Both Lance and Micah are married, adding 2 precious daughters-in-law, Meghan and Kayla, to the Baker family.  With family growth comes 3 darling granddaughters Norah, Emery & Clare.

Ronnie graduated from Gonzales High School in 1977.  Due to a family death, he began working, as college was not an option at that time.  Ronnie gave his life to Christ in 1979 at the age of 20 and moved to Abilene to begin his journey following Christ, and working in the oil field & construction.  From 1994 to 2000, Ronnie worked as Project Manager for Winn Dixie.  For the next fourteen years, he worked in management for Adams Extract & Spice LLC, until retiring in November of 2016.  His career focus is now on renovating their rental properties.

The Baker family spent about 5 years in the 1990’s at Clifton Church of Christ. They moved from Albany to Bosque County in 2016 and were excited to join with Clifton Church of Christ again.

Ronnie’s special interests are, without a doubt, their 3 precious granddaughters.

The thing that Ronnie loves the most about the congregation at Clifton Church of Christ is the obvious LOVE for God and each other.  After being away for 9 years then returning to Bosque County, it was like their family had never left.

Ronnie’s goal as a member of the Body is to serve all who are in the Lord’s Body and all who seek to be a part of His Body from the community and beyond.
